Sydney Carey has served on our board of directors since July 2019. Since April 2025, she has been the CFO of Avalara, Inc., a tax compliance software company. Previously, Ms. Carey held CFO positions at Talkdesk, Inc. (2021–2025), Sumo Logic (2018–2021), Duo Security (2017–2018), Apttus Corporation (2016–2017), Zscaler (2015–2016), and MongoDB (2013–2015).

Beyond her executive leadership, she served on the boards of Lead Edge Growth Opportunities, Ltd (2021–2023), Bazaarvoice, Inc. (2012–2017), and Proofpoint, Inc. (2014–2015). Ms. Carey holds a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University.
